Just thought I would mention that I recently have started being a bit rude with just rolling on anything in instances.

Now at the moment we've been primarily cash farming so I don't think it's a problem, but in future I think we need to be a bit careful with bop stuff. It's easy to just click ok and roll without giving anyone not on comms a chance to type NEED or something like that.

It's not been an issue so far cos all of us are rolling on plate/mail that we all need and there aren't any leather/cloth wearers with us. I think we might want to make sure we remember that when the plate boys are not all together fighting over the same drops - we implement a N/G system. Pass on rolls for all bop stuff then N or G in party chat and /random 100 to get it.

I don't see it ever being a problem tbh - we have a really cool tight nit little guild and everyone works for each other, I can see the odd accident happening at some point tho (mainly from me in a frenzy of trying to beat forensic's damage output!!) and I wouldn't want to upset anyone by making a cock up and winning something that was BOP and unusable by me

yeah it's going to get to the point where these BOP drops are needed by someone. But when there's 5 plate wearers in the group and a BOP cloth/leather drops, it's anyones as far as i'm concerned.

There's a need before greed thing in the loot options - i would have thought it won't let cloth wearers roll on plate, plate wearers roll on leather etc.

TBH i NEED every fuckin thing that drops whether i use it or not .. Especially blue drops. Thats if you want chants n shit..

Also .. I think everyone by now should be on comms.. Youd also think people would of saved up the cash for a set of head phones n mic in 2 - 3 years

N/G works fine til you start raiding instances, then it becomes much easier to all roll on BoE and all pass on BoP. Then sort out swaps for the BoE if there was a needer who lost, and do the /random 100 shizzle for the BoP.

G = Greed

Just roll on all BoE items and give if anyone needs after the fight. Pass on all BoP stuff and sort out the rolling after the fight. With this system, you'd have to be a real twit to loot a BoP item mistakenly, especially as there's a warning message.

Maybe when rolls appear we should all wait five seconds for anybody to N or G it. After the five seconds the Group leader indiacates it's ok for the 'N's to roll (or 'G's to roll if nobody needs).

Looting during combat doesn't help matters as sometimes you just hit roll for the sake of it. I know sometimes (i'm guilty f it too) it can't be helped but then again, shouldn't the person looting be fighting?

All groups I've been in tend to say n or nn when something drops, then if it's totally useless and bind on pickup we generally let the enchanter pick it up and roll for the shard.

Good drops I needed used to be so rare that I used to think that N was a bit too subtle in the N/G system and ended up screaming shit like "OMFG I NEED THAT"
