Righty im going to Iceland with my sis next year. We have decided on a driving Holiday so we can see pretty much what we want to and when we want to. You should check out this vid all about driving in iceland :) http://www.us.is/kennslumyndband/mpeg/H ... celand.mpg

I was wondering if anyone else has been before and had any good tips or places to visit. I have been before for a short trip and know about geyser and the falls nearby and also the blue lagoon but wanted to see more further afield than just near Reykjavik.

Definately want to walk along the plate divide and see some glaciers and volcanoes but what else is there ?

P.S. No im not going to be trying the Icelandic delicacy of rotting shark meat tyvm. :P

You didn't say when you're going but I think one of the good things to see is the frozen waterfall at Gulfoss. You can tread in the footsteps of the mighty Echo and the Bunnymen

I have been to Gullfoss but it wasnt that snowy ..

And im going in May so end of winter / start of summer..

Definately want to walk along the trench between the 2 plates .. 8)
