Just something I thought i'd mention...

I know i'm a n00b but it seems obvious to me that to level at any decent rate you need to be in groups therefore could we arrange something whereby someone could arrage scheduled group hunts for people wanting to level in certain skills?

I may be getting this all wrong - but i just thought it would help not only n00bs such as me to level quicker, but also people who are changing skills.

Let me know if people think this is a good idea or if i stink of shit and should die drowning in my own faeces......

Me too. Although I'm nearly Master Pistoleer, I'll take up another profession once I have that. My holocron said I had to become a carbineer and I might follow that path. Although I have no skill points left when I have the combo Master Ranger/Master Pistoleer I can start with getting the carbineer xp to fill the Marksman tree.

luke lemme know if u do, I have a sweet sliced DH17 Short nose Carbine which u can use after Carbines 1. It saw me all the way to Carbines 4... its got good Dmg, but has half the HAM costs of all other Carbines i toyed with, which is important as carbines use your HAM bars like there is no Tomorrow.

Most of the times grouping with people that do a lot more damage you dont get that good exp. They "steal" the exp because exp is based on the damage you do.

I think alot of it also depends on the mob u hunt

a mob that gives lots of xp is still good for a marksman class char - ask ordo he got lvl 4 rifles and lvl 2 carbines on the novice marksman tree from 3/4/0/? in on evening with us

The trick is lots of mobs with no risk to the 'low lvl char' who we help

my main reason for asking was simply that when i went hunting with vegas and drek we could target the real hard creatures and i got a fair amount of xp which at the end of the day is what a n00b such as me could do with

Anyways I guess it seems that its a case of see who's about at the time.
