Hi folks.

I am going to drop commando as I can't see the point in taking commando to flamer 3.

Essentially Mastering Marksman and Fencer and Brawler gives me no points left for commando and I really do not want to drop fencer - Kir and Resska will tell you why :p

As a result I am dropping Commando, Master Marksman and nearly all of my ranged skills and I am going to go:
Master Brawler / Master Fencer / Novice Marksman (Rifles iv) / Master Rifleman / Novice Medic

I've just had a proper look at the chef revamp and it looks like the time is getting near for me to hang up my apron and grab my VKs/Hammer again. Revamp looks shite and way more hassle than it's worth, I would make loads of fishak etc before dropping it but as it looks as though the food made before the patch will lose all of it's buffs there'll be no point. Not sure when the evamp kicks in though but I'm far more tempted to keep master artisan than I am master chef.

Combat medic / Doctor here I come.

I'm now Master Ranger and almost Master Pistoleer. With that I've got just enough skill points left for Novice Medic to use stimpacks.
I think I'll hold on to this combination for a while and see what it gives. I do like the Ranger profession. I can harvest big amounts of hide, bone and meat that I could probably sell for good money. But if my fellow guildies provide me now and then with new armour, clothes, stims, buffs etc. I'm more that happy to give it for free to them. I kinda like the idea of the lone Ranger who doesn't need much money and lives from what the land gives :)
And if I do need money (a Ranger now and then needs women and liquor also) I'll grab my pistol, do some missions for money and then find the nicest brothel on whichever planet I am :)

Ah feck....roleplaying sucks...I just wanna shoot stuff! :D

Anyway, my holo said I had to become Master Carbineer. It was my idea to do that after I became Master Pistoleer but since there is word about a change on how to become a Jedi I think I'll stay Master Pistoleer for a while and wait till it is clear what the path to become a Jedi will be.

smuggler is good for me atm, i enjoy "some" of the chat i have between customers, plus i often roleplay when u guys arent around (dont want u to think im too geeky) Luckily i have enough skill points to master medic (my holo) to keep me busy, while the pistol trees are slow.

If i get bored i might delete my char and make a human bounty hunter. But im quite happy milling about atm, I dont crave to kill massive things, though i would like to partake in more Rebel missions and Pvp.

Aye

Tbh I am doing this just so I don't bug you all - I would be capped in about 2 evenings play max if I kept the old Commando/fencer/brawler/medic template that I had and then I would be itching and bitching to get pvp and rebel missions and the what not. I can see myself dropping rifleman at master and then switching to carbines and then maybe pistols again :)

This way I have something to work on to keep me going with revor. This is probably the first game where I have actually enjoyed levelling via combat. I think I might try and level rifles soley on rebel missions. I also wanna retry lok now that I can handle myself and do Han solo's missions (along with kicking the fook out of those bloody nyms guards that annoy me too)

My new challenge is going to be Master Doc, Master Combat Medic lvl 4 pistols for health shot :D Not going to be much use soloing things like I could as TKA but I reckon I'll be shit hot to have on hunts as I'll be able to buff, aids things up and leg it then launch stims in from a good safe distance :D I reckon that should keep me busy for a while until I decide it's time for another crafting profession or heavens forbid, bounty hunter. I'd have to grind like mad to hit jedi before they change the system now and as I didn't last more than an hour as an entertainer or a scout it just aint gonna happen systematically, blind luck is where it's at.

I dunno beans - Combat Medics get some truly evil Dots and diseases. You might end up never needing healthshot

Rukhai the ninja apparently

Quote:
After getting master I encouraged a couple of mates to help me test my new found template... I got a Master Commando, Master Rilfeman and a Master Teras Kasi Artist and another Master Fencer... We had some fun.

OK now, the Commando I could have killed in seconds, he couldnt hit me for [censored] when I was moving, I noticed if I stopped moving he could about 1 in 6 times... so kept moving.

Now the Rifleman had no chance, he just couldnt get his bleeds in before I got too close for his range to be useless, I kept moving and zig zagging and hit him with a blind then danced about laughing, then we tested it at ideal range and prone, he still hit me like 1 in 8 shots and found it hard to get a bleed off.

The Teras Kasi Master was a joke, stood there while I peaced and couldnt hit me for like 10 mins, with about 80+ defense vs knockdown it was a joke watching hm try... he almost killed himself through exertion.
When we did go at it hammer and tongues I used TK knockdown and dizzy then whipped out the Gaffi stick and bled him and combod him to death.

The fencer had trouble hitting me because I kept using TK blind, I find that with my Melee mods and Defenc mods both being well over 100 if I blind them they cant seem to get through that defense at all let alone plant a special against my special def mods.

All in all I am VERY happy with my template, proof that it can be beaten was there, when the Commando did hit me I was fried toast and when the rifleman did get bleed on my mind I was in [censored]... it can be beaten with tactics just as PvP seems to be about in this game... but Against Melee opponents I am not one to be taken lightly... the melee defense is insane and the defense mods are extreme.

Worth the hard work... oh and I am looking at dropping down to scout 1-0-0-0 for a special little treat for extra defense but thats a suprise extra for the Imps

That needs nerfin imo - see how he has simply used two master melee professions to make him almost unstoppable.

Rukhai bought 2 casters off me for 200k last night. Wants another 6 too =o

He didnt say if the rifleman was master or not. It makes a HUGE difference. I've read the RM forums, and they say you shouldnt PvP until Master as it's useless - that goes for 4,4,4,4 riflemen too. edit: he did, my mistake.

And btw goose, you can get Mindshot 1 (bleed) at Rifles 4 in Marksman, so theres no need to go for Novice Rifleman tbh. MS2 is better than MS1 off course, but sometimes it can be worse - its just the role of the dice.

Hehe

Hi delts

I have already decided to ditch rifles - I am going to go either master heavy swordsman or master carbineer

I quite like the idea of some ranged for a while so I will prolly go carbineer

im 0004 Commando, probably going master Brawler and 0004 Armormith (specialise in Mabari for a bit, heavily underrated armor imo) still not sure what im doing after that. Might go master Armorsmith, or go master BH 0043 pistoleer and kill whiney Jedi bitches.
