Pfeh tbh if it was any fucking good it would make it's own noise as it turned into a robot.

Yes. Even though I missed the Transformer era, I enjoyed the film. It's actually worth going to see on the big screen. If I had to sum up, I'd say: full of action and humorous but mildy cheesy in places and totally predictable. This film gets 7.9/10 on imdb.com (60k votes). I think that is a little generous though.

Yeah, those Arsenal Supporters at imdb.com have no idea what they're doing.

The movie, from a transformers point of view, is a train wreck. The entire end fight between Optimus Prime and Megatron takes place in the background for crying out loud. The camera movement is shit, and the cutting absolutely horrible. There's like one decent fight scene, and that's when Optimus Prime kills some total nobody. The autobots don't even show up until after a goddamn hour has passed, and the decepticons don't get any screentime at all, almost. Starscream had *two* lines of dialogue in the entire film. Complete disaster.

As an action movie, it's quite okay though.

I remember when imdb ratings actually stood for something :/
I liked it, nice action although a bit confusing at times. The special
agent guy was not funny, just really annoying

How old are you Cal? Although I remember playing with Transformers and watching the cartoon I remember very little else so either it wasn't my era or I'm just very forgetful. I only really remember He-man and of course Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors

Anyone remember King Arthur and the knights of justice?

That explains it then, you're a couple of years older than me so that's why the only thing I remember about them was that the holograms on their chests changed when you applied heat :P

Stop trying to pretend you are youthful. If you have any idea what this means, you must have been watching it aged 21 Kuif ;)

Just got back from the cinema and posted this on Freddyshouse in response to alot of negative comments about the movie. No spoilers needed so its safe to read on :p

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well having read these posts before I went to the cinema this evening I told my wife that I felt I was going to be let down.. I wasnt in the slightest, the comments about storylines and script are a bit silly its about robots from another planet (I dont recall the last robot from cybertron to get a grammy for best dialogue) but feel free to pm me its name.

I think that you are forgetting what Transformers is all about. I have not been satisfied by a movie at the cinema in a long while, it had everything that I can remember from when I was a kid, from the first time I heard the noise of it transforming I was won over. I can overlook scenes that are designed for the laughs of kids because deep down this movie was from my era of growing up and it ticked all the boxes.

Seems strange to say it but I came away with a feeling to go and open up my box with all my old figures from my mothers attic. It made me remember being a kid and that isnt something that can be knocked.

So read all the reviews you want but do not let that stop you from witnessing the movie yourself it gets a big thumbs up from me.
