Ok been reading up more. There's some things we need to know
1. The only AP weapon we get is the vibroblade - so a well powered up and nicely sliced one of those is essential.
2. When fighting armoured opponents check Armour level first (1/2/3) then check vulnerability. Most armoured opponents are vulnerable to stun damage (particularly Stormtroopers) which makes engaging them with the stun baton a good idea.
3. Stun Batons do no damage vs Lairs and Vehicles so ensure you switch to gaffi/vibroblade before attacking these.
4. /follow the mobs you attack - that way if they run off you go after them.
Finally - from combat over the last two days I find that center of being is essential in the start of combat.
My combat round goes as follows
Centre of Being (before engaging mob)
one Hand Dizzy
Lunge (posture down)
One hand Health hit 1 (bleed)
One Hand Blind Hit1 (blind)
This normally leaves you with a dizzied, crouched, bleeding, blind, mob. From there on in I switch to One hand body hit 2 or One Hand Hit 2 depending on my mood. This with a good speed hard hitting weapon will take 90% of mobs down uber quick. If you get hit a couple of times simply clear your combat que, re centre of being and go again...
In PVP remember the 6 second rule - turn from a kiting opponent and burst run away from them. Wait for them to start running after you and immediately turn and sprint at them. By the time they realise that you're running at them you should have dizzy and lunge on them. Once Dizzied and posture downed - simply intersperse a dizzy in between every 3 attacks to keep them down
