Yeah. I agree with the crowd, not the comment.

Actually, I'm not sure what I was expecting, but not ... this. It's the same, but more so.

I'm seriously considering taking a full break from WOW as all I can see is a vanishing horizon of levelling, grinding etc. At least 60 was reachable, 70 looks impossibly hard. I'm sure some will manage it, but ...

I'll be on over the next week or so trying some instances, and making some choices. Enjoy Outlands.

ps http://www.worldofraids.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3441

Says it all.

To me that link totally contradicts what you said though, it's not only possible to get to 70 it's possible to do it in 28 hours  just so long as you enjoy grinding, personally I loves it :P

That links confirms everything I said mate , I hate the idea of playing for 28 hrs non stop to get a L70 character, and by grinding? Why? Whats the point? Where's the game, the fun, the enjoyment?

If you like repetitively killing mobs so you can go, woo, I've a L70 and 4 L65's then gl to you.

But nowhere does it say you have to do those 28 hours non-stop. And although that may be the quickest method to hit 70 not everyone will take that approach it simply shows that it's easily attainable.

No, it won't.

Everything I've read says L70 will be, deliberately, harder to get to than 60 was in terms of experience.

Right I'm shutting up. I probably need a break :P

more xp per level doesn't mean its less attainable, just means it may take a little longer.

well from my experience its not that hard to lvl, sure if there wasnt so much overcrowding it would be even easier, i dinged lvl61 today and could have done it quickier if the serverd didnt keep dieng or lagging yesterday and if i didnt did 3 instances today. oh and instances are fun and short with very good drops.
loving it so far :)

p.s bombing runs are fun!!

I'm not starting TBC til Feb, I figure most will have moved on from the Hellfire Peninsula starting zones by then.

I reckon to get from 60-70 it's gonna take as long as it did for us to get from 0-60 - which, to me, is the biggest appeal of this expansion!

doesnt anyone have anything positive to say about this new wonderous expansion blizzard has graced us with? all ive read is bitching - "its too busy" (fucking shocking that) "its too hard" (people were moaning there was no challenge before-go figure) "its all the same" is about all ive seen, i was hoping for someone to actually say something about new experiences / loot / mobs / instances anything of interest plz :)

Really good fun tbh .. Been great running round grouped getting all the quests done or just grouped and solo having people in group to ask wtf do i have to go.

The 2 instances ive done so far have been quick around 3 bosses each and have produced some luvely kit. Luke got 2 socketed Items that blow the prophecy gear away..

What id like to see Blizz try and do now is make the instances from the original game figure in your lvling process because atm there is absolutely no need to do MC again ever and BWL and Naxx are iffy on loot. (I know theres the weve done it aspect but it will all seem like a 1 man dead mines run in the end for stuff to diss.)

If they scale the old instances then again we will never be able to do them Xui. And that would indeed piss me off. I would rather go and diss the loot but actually be able to do the instances and see the content tbh

I'd have hoped that was already written into the BC content. If this isn't the case, then I woulda assumed that they could incorporate these old dungeons in some kinda Tier 4.5 (assuming Tier 4 is attainable via instances a la Tier 0) quest chain...

Either way, they should make sure we can re-run MC/BWL/AQ40 on Heroic difficulty and get some worth out of them at the least.

That said, they are simply instances. Yeah, they've been at the top of the pile for the past 2 years, but it doesn't matter as long as they are replaced by equal end-game instances. I mean, Dire Maul was added late on, yet it still got ran a lot (probs one of my faves).

It'll be nice to simply 'see' BWL and AQ40 all the way through - irrelevant of whether we wtfpwn it or not. It's not like pre-BC anyone fell over themselves to go through Maraudon again is it...

That's Blood Furnace. Tactics are kill everything in sight and nuke bosses :)

We did it today and killed the second boss with Gnomella dead and the third boss with our MT dead. Bosses come when you have cleared the room so you have no time to rez or get mana.

to be honest i am enjoying it and the best quest so far was - the one where you start from a tiny bit of land split from the rest of outlands and go on a bombing raid which for me lasted a good 30mins and was good fun.

oh and to the Arsenal Supporters who are 61-62 in level, whats the fucking hurry - stop playing it all before you look at it properly. I mean 2 days gone and im not even halfway to lvl 61.

ENJOY IT - ya fucking Arsenal Supporters

I'm 61 on Azaz. Enjoying it a bit, but lack of an active gchat is driving me mad. Oh, and I've put maybe 6 hours into this, tops. Quests give a fuckload of XP, and I had almost half the bar to 61 rested as well (2.2k xp for bosses in Blood Furnace? Yes please XD).

I spent last night fixing my ui too, installed a couple this morning but never had time to fix them. Still undecided as to who to level though. I kept dying last night as things were missing from my action bars and I had no idea what they were til it was too late. Might take the rogue for a spin tonight though.

I also had trouble with some of my mage "routines" man alive they have fucked over frost nova... 21 second cooldown? even with 2/2 in improved.. what the fuck is that about?!

Still learning to play the mage again I'm hoping will be a fun challenge, I guess in some respects raiding for months on end kinda made me lose my ability to use different techniques with my char.

frostbolt frostbolt frosbolt etc etc

I'm getting ready for an all night gaming marathon so I fully expect the server to go down about 8-ish and come back up some time mid sunday.

lol Beans. I am fully expecting to be doing an all night working marathon due to problems. I hope people are going to be about on xfire so that I can virtually abuse them?

re the insane level of greens ....

Yeah, it is kinna ... ironic that I spent ages building up sets only to have my "uber" items bested by the first greens that I pick up. But, hey, it was fun at the time.

Most annoying thing tho is the camping of quests - gave up last night trying to kill some mobs ina mine: ppl were camping each soddin spawn spot down the whole mine, to the extent I only kille done in 30 min.

New experience, short instance = good. And bombing mission.

Am I the only one here who finds Outlands a bit nauseous? I feel like I want to play with my head tilted at 45 degree.

Having both a frost mage and a shadow priest I can honestly say my priest will level faster than the mage. Current setup has it so I have pretty much 0 downtime on the priest, he's crap in groups but solo he can grind for hours non stop as I found when I did my timbermaw rep grind last month.

I think I may cave to peer pressure and buy the game :( going to town today if i see it for a cheap price ill grab one, if not then play.com and ill be about by the end of the week.

although ill be installing from scratch so after patching etc itll probably be about a month before the game is up to date and ready to be played :x

As a holy priest I can't solo at all or very very very (did I say very?) slowly. I really need groups to complete quests.

Try going for a smite build instead of a holy build? With good healing gear you can punch out rather sweet damage, actually. (Divine Fury, Spiritual Guidance, Holy Reach (maybe), Surge of Light and Spirit Tap are your friends in a smite build. Aim for Imp. Divine Spirit for even better damage (can't be gained at 60 if you want Spirit Tap (which you do))

At 60 you'd have something like this:

Luke

I'm not gettin much chance to play anything at the mo Luke. When I do get online it's at odd hours when you +1 GMT peeps are in bed. I'm always up for a guild group.

That mine atm, works well at 61.

Just started putting points in spirit tap, not sure how useful this is until it’s maxxed, so it might be better to stick 5/5 in that and drop spiritual guidance for now.

With my shit gear I’m getting +540 heal in total from the spiritual guidance and imp prayer of spirit thing, and in damage gear around +360 I think.

Best thing is though in heal gear a shield and renew while just smiting works very well against 2 63s.

Didn’t take holy nova as it just eats mana.

Never plan any sort of long-term marathon Beans.

I took 2 weeks off work and my computer refuses to install WoW. Works fine otherwise, just no WoW (dodgy RAM connection), and it's 7-10 days before my new dual-core beast arrives.
