OK - dunno how many replies this will get - but here goes! Share your best 3 / worst 3 moments in WOW

BEST

1) As a new player meeting / chatting to someone else for the first time. Dunno their name but they took me through all the classess and explained some basics. Sound.
2) My first guild: and the associated guild run through DM, (Deadmines). Very good fun, and the sudden realisation this was a MMORPG: where other people counted, were willing to help, and made a difference.
3) Dinging 60, and entering endgame.

WORST

1) Gnomeregon. What an awful, ill designed instance.
2) 3 hr plus instances. Roll on winged instances, which can be completed in less time for the less dedicated player. 3 hrs shocked me at first, and now ... its still kinna puzzling how I can sit for that length of time
3) Loot fallouts. It should have been sorted, it hasn't.

Best:
1) Tracking down and corpse camping a lvl 60 warrior and his lvl 58 girlfriend druid after weeks of him ganking me and my 2 mates whilst we were in our low 40s on a PvP server. Actually seeing him run away from me when I was lvl 60 was good too.

2) Absoloutely shitting myself everytime I saw an alliance member on a mount in Desolace whilst my Shaman was in his 30s as it meant insta ganked.

3) Killing Hakkar for the very first time in the alliance. Was better than Raggy tbh.

Worst:
1) Seeing the same people that make the game worth playing quit the game. Happened on Stormreaver and is happening here too.

2)Going on a "quick run" just for one boss with Inv and ending up in the place all fucking day killing anything that may drop some form of loot.

3)Bots. Can't stand the fact that the GMs do nothing about them.

Best:

1. The first alliance kill of bat bitch

2. The first merged guild raid and the excitement of it all

3. Dinging 60 with my lock

Worst

1. Tanking with trigger - anywhere, any level, any time.

2. The 'Honor' patch on shadowmoon

3. Seeing people I like quit, move on, leave us, fall out, get upset etc

Best:
1) First play, coming out of the intro and getting an instant buzz.

2) Joining TNL and through them Cybergings.

3) My one and only Cybergings raid. Took down everything including Hakkar. Made a miserable Sunday afternoon great.

Worst:
1) Wankers. Always get them on MMORPG's and no doubt always will.

2)Working such fecked up hours I cannot raid at all. (Nothing to do with noobness)

3)Bots and Goldsellers. Can't stand the fact that the GMs do nothing about them.(I'm with you Beans)

Best:

1) Seeing the WoW advert on TV.

2) Going on "A run" through the cross roads all the way to Gadgetzan with Minx and another rl mate when we were around the late 20's mark. Died hundreds of times, but was the one of the most memorable gaming experiences I have had.

3) 2 hitting Mages

Worst:

1) Meeting Goose.

Guild UBRS run, those there will prob remember it, never pwned it that way before or since

Wiping on the steps of ZG when we had the place on farm....or thought we did

Realising the people I loved Gings for were no longer there

MC run after we did a UBRS raid *shudders*

Wiping more times than I care to remember on Razorgore when with CE

BEST

1: Early doors levelling through Elfland, and Barrens - running with Whelan and Panz through unchartered land was just fantastic! Good times...
2: Getting involved with the alliance, and in turn Gings
3: Xroads + Tarren Mill. They were fucking awesome nights!


WORST

1: Leaving D&E cos it pretty much crumbled after we left
2: Astro, Elixxer, Vaughan, and Redeemed leaving the game
3: In-game illiteracy and impatience.

I'd like to add one other to best: being given (woo!) 1G by a L60 when I was L12, (ish). Let me buy new talents. Not much to them - a lot to me.

Agree with bots - wtf is going on with them? And why am I getting /w from gold sellers in general channel in instances?

Best:
Installing the game on day of release and talking goose into buying it.
Being the only lock in guild as everyone else thought they were shit.
Uninstalling the game.

Worst:
Dinging 60 and realising that the endgame is dull and pointless.
Grinding faction.
Shadowmoon PvP patch.

Best:
Dinging level 30 as the first pre-cybergingsguild banger. whehe
Quitting WoW already after three months.
Never reached lvl 60.

Worst:
Boring
Grouping when clanmates are not online, what a pain.
Certain quests

I'm too positive and can't think of any bad things now, so here's lots of good ones.

1: Letting some poor Undead mage go round and body-pull the ENTIRE ship in Lost Rigger cove, so about 50 mobs come after him, ninja-tagging ALL of them with a Holy Nova, then sitting back while he has to kill them all for me.

2: First ever Lucifron kill, over a year ago now, but the Vent noise was unforgettable.

3: Slapping 4 DoTs on some poor mage in AV as he rides past and watching him die as he leaves draw distance - 4 times in the same AV, to the same mage!

4: Getting ambushed by some high-ranked Warrior outside Kargath on my warlock, managing to get ahead enough to mount up on 10% health, then losing him by jumping off the Loch Modan dam and Parachute cloaking.

best moments :

- getting Des to play the game and lvl up & explore the game together
- 1st ever MC raid (back on US Feathermoon) .. getting up at 4am to join the raid and getting owned by the first Firelords over and over again
- each time i get reinvited after a /gquit


worst moments:
- selling char on US server after 1 year and rerolling from scratch on Bloodhoof
- general chat during the first days on Bloodhoof...played on RP server b4 and was kinda shocking
- now and then when i realise how boring the game actually is

Best:
- That initial new game freshness where everything was pretty and you wondered how you would ever get bored of it.
- Grouping and having fun (not in a sexual way) with guildies.
- Meeting some really great people in this game, who are friends out of game too.

Worst:
- Having to start again, as a shiny alliance goody, after levelling my first char to 50+ on Shadowmoon.
- Listening, on comms more than once, to a raid and then to a bunch of people doing an adhoc post-raid review and hearing them slagging people off based on DamageMeters figures and their perception of how those people played. Apart from the raid sounding totally unenjoyable, what with all the shouting, I really didn't appreciate the slagging off afterwards. That's probably one of the reasons for why I have never gone on a raid. I just want to have fun.
- The selfishness that WoW encourages.

4: being given 1000G by Whelan, and going straight to Darn to get me Epic mount. I didn't need Viagra that night. Nor lube.

Best

1 - Abandoning my pala and rolling a rogue - completely revolutionised my WoW experience
2 - Completing my first instance (Deadmines) after an eternity of wipage - what a buzz
3 - First Drakki kill - back then, MC was only a dream and UBRS was the ultimate instance

Worst

1 - Realizing that I'll probably never get to 100% complete any end game stuff
2 - Horrible feeling of guilt when I told Darkenrahl I was leaving D&E
3 - Looking at my char screen and seeing that, after nearly 2 years, I still only have 1 bit of the T1 kit

Best:
1. Ganking like crazy with EN and Fisher in Ashenvale/STV
2. The most amazing 3-shot kill against a druid in BRM
3. Meeting all the people I have met and liked from both servers.

Worst
1. Seeing everyone leave Shadowmoon for Bloodhoof.
2. Total burnout after priesting numerous BWL wipes
3. Not FRAPSing my 2nd best moment in WoW

Best:
1. Creating my first char on wow and lvling all the way to 9 that first night with someone else teaching me the basics of the game
2. Starting my rogue on bloodhoof and meeting hazza (maui) in elfland.
3. Joining u Arsenal Supporters!

Worst:
1. Hitting lvl 41 with glondal and getting bored
2. Finding myself a nice gf thats taken my mind off the game
3. Putting the above comment as a worst

That was class tbh, I had forgotten about that till you said and it made me chuckle

Best MMO experience ever:

Going out into the wastelands in NC for the very first time ( i think i was level 3 atm) with Delta as the driver and getting chased and raped by a Grim Persecutor and Hoover bombers.

or getting drunk in the bar and testing out our new guns at a very hostile OP with Rammeh, Delts(?) and a few other guys in NC. In the meantime i did the same behind my pc.

tbh, my best/thrilling/coolest or whatever MMO moments are still the ones i had in Neocron, and there were loads of 'm.

That was fun.

1) Getting Goose Really Mad when he was tanking by stunning mobs
2) Doing Deadmines as a single instance that only us as a party were doing was pretty cool.
3) Genral Comms Banter - You just can't beat it tbh!

Worst
1) Uldamann - FFS who designed that place and thought it would be worthwhile to waste 2-3 hours in!
2) Various episodes of GingsEnders. People really need to chill more in life and understand that it's only a fucking game
3) Now - not many people palying it and no other game really abbout that takes my interest.

1-laughing on comms
2-pissing trev off to the point where im sure, irl, he was actually foaming at the mouth
3-whelan and minx buying me drinks irl for the whole england game, didnt spend a penny
