I'm thinking of trying:

http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/underdev/burningcrusade/warlock/talents.html?0000000000000000000002050033133050100501350505000512200010000000

If my calculations are correct this will give me:

+30% on Fel Armour = 30 extra spell damage
+18% on all damage
+15% on shadow damage
+15% of succubus sta+int worth of spell damage = 52.44 @ lvl60
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Total on a shadowbolt
33% extra damage + 82.44 extra spell damage
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sorry don't know the relationship between the 2 so can't work it out.

Thats if I sacrifice and res the succubus and only taking into account the talents from the demo tree.

Having looked around

I'm tempted to try this for a while after the patch:

http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/under ... 0513531251

It's just all about damage and damage viability. Yes I lose +10% from SM but I get it back from insta's and general +fire in Conflagaration.

I'll lose curse of exhaustion but that's shit atm so I see no loss there.

Shadowfury on the other hand, well with +500 spell damage you could be looking at an insta hit of around 1.5k and a stun of up to 8seconds :D

That would be pure evil.

ShadowFury + Shadowburn crits could possibly kill a rogue right off.

nether protection is pretty worthless IMHO...
How many times exactly are you being hit by shadow or fire?
I mean REALLY, not how many times you COULD be hit by em...
And then you get a 30% chance of being immune to em,
IF you get hit in the next 4 seconds again... what are the odds?

this will be my choice:

Firstly we don't know what the spells in the new instances are yet, but right now - every time I get hit in MC it's Fire. In PvP most of my deaths occur at the hands of Warriors, Priests and Fire Mages. Becoming immune to Shadow or Fire is VERY handy there and with the melee hits giving an insta shadowbolt that also is VERY handy.

I think I'll give it a chance although I do think Mischief's build also looks extremely interesting.

I also can't understand why you'd sacrifice shadowfury for either of the demonology talents you've chosen. Insta corruption is handy but imo shadowfury outweighs the benefits of the demonology stuff (despite my original build of 30/10/21)

i understand, and at first it struck me as a usefull talent as well. but then again: in every 3 times you get hit, there is a 4 second immunity..... in these 4 seconds you would have to get hit again to make it usefull... The melee-hit thing i have included in my build as well.

Shadowfury is AoE, mostly a pvp-skill IMO... and i hardly pvp

it's a 30% chance so it could proc on the first hit that get's you which is again, very handy - especially if you have dots from fire mages or shadow priests as it's far more likely to proc

8S stun on all mobs in aoe - might be handy for BWL fights :) especially on phase 1 of razorgore.

We'll see - I wouldn't be at all surprised if I only ever use it in pvp but I like my pvp so I think it's points well spent :)

I took Deathknell

http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/under ... 0000000000

I cannot tell you how brutal this is for both soloing and PvP - being able to apply 4 DoTs in the time it takes for something to get near you (except something with charge), unable to dispel them without taking a whack from Unstable Affliction, and then getting all your mana back from Dark Pacting your Imp, you can solo for hours without a break, or take something to 50% before it gets in melee range in PvP.

Not tried it in a raid situation, but having about 4 ticks from 50-300 damage each second from each DoT while never running out of mana and hardly having to life tap can't be bad. Imps regenerate mana so fast Dark Pact become your best friend.

This coming from someone who's been Demonology/Destruction from day 1 :)

I've seen some pretty horrible affliction stuff recently. Things like warlocks being top dps (by a hell of a distance) in raids with full affliction builds.

Shadowfury has definitely been nerfed already. Pre-patch it was insta and up to 8s stun. Now it's 0.5 sec cast and god knows how long the stun will last.

I can't be arsed to play atm so I don't know how good it is or isn't

UA is the ultimate in anti-paladin :)

4 times in 2 days I've had one cleanse himself to death, or at least take the 1900 whack and sit there silenced while I charge the finishing shadowbolt, or reapply the dots he's just removed.
