There have been a lot of reports of extreme slowness and timeouts on both cybergings and FuN 4 Forums. I have over the last couple of days been fiddling with the database.

That has failed to resolve so far.

I have found a coding but with one of the mods on FuN 4 Forums which has become corrupted and caused wierd layouts when posting messages. In the past i had a theme that caused the web server to drop offline ( i dunno why) and this may of been causing a similar effect in causing all websites on the server to have trouble.

Need everyone to keep an eye on both forums and report any issues or improvments over the next couple of days

Will do Mr Frags. Don't know if you have done anything within the past couple of hours but the forum is responding noticeably faster for me this evening than it has for the past couple of weeks. First time I noticed the slowness was Sept 25th. Dunno if anything changed around then?

I find it very slow when I am at work. Even worse when I click reply to thread.

I'm still finding it slow Frags matey, to the point where it times out occasionally.

Massive improvement for me over the last two days.

Really bad for me at the moment. Other sites are fine.

Yeah, a lot better for me too. Could only read the forums during early mornings/late nights before, for some reason.

22/10/06 @ 20:33. Pages very slow to load.

Ok some more work on the server tonight, deleted the hole contents of server and copied the relivent files back on again, the site size has gone from 1.7Gb to 300mb for all websites, so suspect a lot of hidden crap somewhere.

Again keep an eye and report any changes or improvements!

Better, but not as fast as I remember them to be

slowing down as I type atm, page loads taking upto 15 secs and more

ya..in the morning was real quick now slower again..tho still bit better than b4

I seeing 200ms + at Shlund data backbone in london, while other hops are between 30-50ms. Just interesting to see if anyone else getting it in the same place.

Hmm I get a consistent timeout from v3490.mpd01.lon02.atlas.cogentco.com [130.117.2.218] to... somewhere. After that timeout I'm at the schlund backbone and getting around 40-60ms.

to do a tracert in windows:

Got a respinse from the provider, they have confirmed an issue with one of the transit servers, as it shown in some of the tracerts.

Hopefully this will be fixed soon!
