Looks as if the devs have got the right ideas.

I hope that in the main that they do extend the buff times, although the response on this wasn't exactly clear!

When they change everything it's either going to be very good or make it very very bad.

roll on 1.9.......

Welcome to world of Paladins.

They're totally fine as they are but we'll review them anyway so they can have stealth, blink, poly and anything else that take's their fancy.

:/

Not quite tbh, lack of pulling abilities is just silly [hell..i'd settle for throwing pebbles to draw attention from a mob] and afaik pally buffs are the shortest ingame, apart from some obscure trainable talents.

Then theres the lack of controllable damage. Cast a seal on a mob, cast another seal for the fight and thats it..u can go make a coffee.

I get its supposed to be a hybrid class, but even a hunter has better melee options then a pally. Some snare/taunt/detaunt option alone would be nice.

Priest's inner fire needs to be extended too. Not sure why warlocks and mages both get a 30 minute buff and priests get 3 minutes :?

take their immunity shields from them then.....

I know I am on record for thinking that paladin class in general get's a disproportionate amount of love but you show me another class with the survivabilty of a paladin. There isn't one.

Ranged pulling - I agree with - that's all tbh.

Nah, last thing I want is to start casting shadow protection on myself whilst something is melee-ing me to death. It's bad enough with the thing that auto targets me when nothing is selected so I wonder around with a sheild on when nothing is attacking me :P

you can set it to only cast out of combat, over x% mana, under x% health etc. very useful for keeping inner fire up. works well too with my warrior for keeping battle shout up

True but uber survivabiluity and shitty offense is just unbalanced. I just hope 1.9 will adress both sides of the story rather then putting the whole class offbalance even further.

tbh I'd say that is balanced. DPS isn't what matters, it's the damage you do to the enemy before you die so even if your dps is shite you still kill the thing, just not as quickly as those with higher dps/lower survivability. So by losing the ability to stay alive forever and gaining dps you'd be just as balanced only difference would be you'd kill things a bit quick and have more down time due to needing to heal up more. Plus you'd be a bit crapper against multiple mobs.

Delts - Pallys cannot spec in any weapon at all - which is why dorf pallys are so dumb atm :p

Their racial is totally wiped out as they cannot train guns.

I didn't see anything in the link that said that Pallys were going to get anything that's going to make them "uber".

From what I read, they were going to take a look at the buff times and essentially work out a way to control dps better and less down to luck. There's nothing there that says we're getting anything more than we've got now.

As for a ranged pull, I seem to do fine with that without even trying :D

Ignoring your special pulling ability trigger

Why should pallys get anything other meleeers don't?

All Melee is luck based to an extent. Skill takes you so far (as in weapon skills, + agility + str) then luck takes over....

Get that Linken's boomerang from the Un'Goro quest series. It's a trinket - excellent for paladins who want to throw-pull stuff. Think most of the 50+ paladins in Noble Blade (my guild) uses it ;)

Sift is an armoursmith if you want the account. Pretty high level but I forget how high. Just let me know and I'll bung you the user details. You'll have to pay for a sub though.
