I only ever played Enemy Unknown on the Playstation and loved it but never played it through til the end. I may have to investigate them if they're still the same kind of game where you have to balance the books as well as save the world.

I can only see terror from the deep there and not the newer ones, but imo that was the best in the series.

Completed it when at Uni and the last level is choice, it's hard until you unlock some certain technologies and then it becomes much easier, setting waypoints for rockets in blind rooms is choice for hitting hidden enemies.

Jesus, Laser Squad brings back memories, though i played the original on the Amstrad 64... I still remember there was a marine guy called Chormski who was my "hudson" type goofball.

I spent a few hours trying to get XCOM UFO working on Vista and gave up, then a few days ago I found http://ufoai.sourceforge.net/ It's not quite the same but it's work in progress, free and has the same sort of feeling.

I hate when they do this. But, I need games to play, so I'm picking up Dawn of War Everything Pack (since I can't find my own copy of the original anyway) and Company of Heroes.
