Wanting to get in the beta of that, and also beta of dark and light. Looks fantastic with a free prologue available on 8th december. The main D&L game will be based around what the players do in the prologue - economy and stuff.

been in the beta for DnL for about a year now. Its kinda shit, but that say there holding back on the pretty grfx and stuff until release. Beleive it when I see it.

In its current state it gonna have a hardcore off followers and nothing more, but it had/has so much potential.

...oh and it ran like a bastard on my old Rig, A643200+ 1.5gb Ram 6800U not tried it on the current one.

The whole premise of the game sounds good, especially the crafting side. Not having played it i can only go on what ive read though

Got accepted onto some form of testing for D&L. although, i've been a little distracted and never got round to reading the e-mail properly.

Interesting what you're saying there about it though Jon, not sure what the next game for me will be, don't think I will be getting Star Trek, it's never been a TV series for me that I've enjoyed.

Even thought I havent read anything, it appeals. The only thing is I hate that wanky trekky UI you get in all their games.

How would ships work? Cos they're not a 1 man affair like in EVE.

I have downloaded the latest version of the beta but its not live yet so will give it another go se whats moved on...

Same. They send me mails now and again saying that I've been selected but from what I've seen so far, I'm not interested. Graphics were still shite when I logged in a couple of months ago. I'm more for gameplay than graphics but even I baulk at certain graphical standards. The website has grammar and spelling mistakes and gives me the impression that the whole show is being run by Jacques and Pierre from a 1 bed bedsit in Lyon. I may still give it a whirl because, like you say, it has so much potential and I like the theory of the storyline but any company that says that they're saving the best graphics til launch may be talking out their arse. Besides they're French so off to a bad start already.

Logged back in on Tursday and it looks no different to 3 months ago when I last tried it. Its ugly as sin, the player models make DAoC Lurikeens look like they are state of the art, and it interface is a nightmare......oh and it still runs poorly even on a X24400+ (@2.6ghz) 2gb RAM and a 7800GTX.

Unless miracles happen this one DOA.
