Asus allegedly have a 4 chip sli rig in testing o_O

Imagine that - 4 x 7800gtx - I can't see anyone going for it tbh - not unless they have around £1400 just for the processor, mobo and graphics

It's the way you have to go to stop all the idiots saying their Xbox 360 is the ultimate rig for gaming.

tbh Sli is a waste of time unless your running games at mega resolutions so 4 way SLI will be completely pointless

when i was lookin into my rig i went for 2 6600gt cos there wasnt a processor available that could get all the power from 2 6800gts...from that id guess that even the new dual core processors wont be able to get that much from 4 cards...waste of money imo

ive not seen much benefit from havin a sli rig either tbh apart from its unstable and a bit of a pain in the arse really, theres no game around that needs that much power and the single cards can more than cope with most games anyway...stick to a 6800 or 7800 imo, much safer, cheaper and has the same result in the end.

absolutely pointless as nothing at all in terms of software can use 4x gfx cards for the forseeable future, at most everything is coded to use max of 2 gpu's.
