I played it for a while (closed beta->open beta->retail (hit level 57 then gave up). It's a grind. If you think getting CC rep is a pain, don't even touch L2. You need money to buy your skills and weapons. You get money, and experience, by killing monsters. The weapons cost in the bajillion range (7 million for a katana - and that's a level 40-ish weapon... you need two (depending on class)), and there are basically NO weapons that drop (although they can - epic world drop rate on 'em though, and they're normal weapons). If you think that the WoW gold sellers are bad, you've seen nothing. L2's gold sellers won't hesitate to kill you, and they rule the economy.

Don't play it. That's all I can say.
