Got my warrior back, about to start the transfer process.

LVL46 atm and since I last played there's been a skill reset.
I can choose all my skills again but I guess a lot has changed since I last played (hell even all the textures are new!).
I used to play a DW fury based warrior although I'd tried an Arms MS build and wasn't that impressed.

What's regarded as viable/useful these days?

PS I think I'm going to have a severe case of nooby fever it's been that long.

Weapon lore, constitution and strength.

You want to focus on these three.

;)

Thanks Olavski - I've not forgot that much :)

I was thinking of the common builds but having read a bit, Fury based with Dual Wield still seems a good format as I want to try a little PvP this time so there's no point going protection spec. I can always switch to that at the endgame (if I get there!).

DW Fury for PvE dps, MS-spec for PvP.

Thanks John.
I went DW fury again because it's what I know and from previous experience trying MS arms, happier with. I never did play PvP last time, I must recify that this time though but I'll be mainly PvE.

Bear in mind with that with the right gear any spec warrior in pvp is evil.

Prot spec warriors are awesome flag carriers in WSG with good gear. The problem with warriors is that they are so gear-centric that pvp isn't much fun without ze purpalz of doom that you get from raiding.

Most horde warriors that I face are a pain in the arse. Will of the Forsaken and Bezerker Rage give them 30s+ of fear immunity that frankly (without healing) they don't need to munch through 2-3 casters.

Having said that - a non epixxed warrior can beat on my lock for 2-3 minutes and won't kill me, which is academic considering dots alone will kill a warrior in 45s to a minute.

PVP is so quick and brutal that it can be quite frustrating at the start for warriors. My advice is start now if you can (right away do the odd bg or 2 when you're fed up of questing) and try and follow a druid/pally around as they may just heal you if they know what they're about. Gnommy is/was a pvp slut so don't be afraid to talk to him in guild when you're in the same bg range and see if he wants to come with.

:)

Cheers Mr Goose. Yes, I'd better get some practice in and look like a fool now rather than later!

Maybe I can find someone to duel before I go letting anybody down in the BG's.

Come to think if it... it's just a game! What the hell am I worried about?! lol

Aye ignore the duel monkeys

They remind me of those sad fucking stealthers in DAOC who always moaned about people 'adding' on their 1v1's

in pvp you will find that you normally roam or defend in groups of 2-3. As a warrior you never, ever, want to be on your own. If you are in a group and you're facing a group of hordies - take the shammies and the druids first - no priests ever heal in pvp (with the exception of paramedic, the only *ex-dallas priest in the game), allies normally lose group fights because nobody hits the healers - you're never going to nuke a warrior down who has 7k+ health and resists from his shinies if he's got a good shammy and druid just topping up his health the whole time.

You've got it right tho - it's not about epeen - it's about having fun :) If it ain't fun don't do it

M

p.s. * check out paramedic's shoulderpads. Eat your heart out joan collins :)

Had a go in Arathi Basin last night (last year!).
We won, 12 kills against 2 deaths. Good fun
Wasn't really sure what group I was supposed to be in, there were 4 AV's down the left hand side who I assume were team leaders but I just stayed and defended one of the outposts (god knows which one, lol) and jumped anything that looked remotely Horde like. Looks like I got 4 solo kills which seems about right.

I'll defiantely be going back for a bit more action in between some level grinding.

I don't think I could agree more! However, a warrior teamed up with a healer is quite deadly :)
