Cos Im a lazy bastard, I price my droids based on this site:

http://www.undeadfish.com/droids.php

Ill sell droids to PA members for half price, so put your orders in. Things I cant make yet are:

adv protocol droids
adv R3's
adv BLL's
lvl 5+ modules
and a couple of personality chips

Everything else I can.

For any BH's, ignore that guys prices for arkaryds, cos he's killing himself by selling so cheap. I sell at 2.5k

Q: How many droids can I have at one time?
You can have 5 droids in your datapad. You can only have 1 droid "out" at a time.

Q: How much would X droid cost?
Droid prices vary greatly from galaxy to galaxy, planet to planet, and even region to region. Post a message on your server's forum to find general prices in your area.

Q: Can DE's customize droids look?
Not at this time. The "/customizeDroid" command does nothing as (per Dev) it requires a droid customization item that we cannot produce yet.

Q: Why do I not see some of the deeds I should be able to make in the crafting list?
You are trying to craft an item that has a higher complexity than your current setup allows. Basically, the order goes like this:
Generic Crafting Kit
Weapon/Droid/General Crafting Kit
WDGCK + Public Crafting Station
WDCGK + Private Crafting Station

Q: Where can I find resource XXX? I need it to build a certain droid!
Resources differ from galaxy to galaxy. Thus one galaxy may be rich in extrusive ore, yet devoid of link-steel aluminum. Post your question in your server's forum.

Q: What is the best combat droid you can make?
The only combat droids we can make are: DZ70, Advanced DZ70, Probot, Advanced Probot
Both DZ70 droids are a joke. They have ~40 HAM, and will die in 1 (2 if you're lucky) hits from a newbie mob.
Probot: HAM ~800, SPD 2.0, DMG ~50, Armor: Depends on the armor module installed (Holds 1 Armor Module)
Advanced Probot: HAM ~800, SPD 2.0, DMG ~50, Armor: Depends on the armor modules installed (Holds 2 Armor Modules) -- Advanced Probots also allow 2 General Droid Modules.

*Q: Can you color my droid?
We can color droid chassis, but not the final droids themselves. This means if you want "decorations" for your house, we can color those. If you want a functional droid, you get the default colors.

*Q: What does "Your droid's customization fades a bit more" mean?
Droid customization is not currently supported in the game. We all assume though, that it means at some point we will be able to "customize" (color) droids, and the color will fade according to the customization number attached to the droid.

Droid Usefulness:

Q: How do I use this droid deed?
First, you should use the "TAME" option from the deed's radial menu. This will add the droid to your datapad, and automatically call him for the first time.

Q: How do I program my droid?
From the droid's radial menu, choose "Program", then select the command you want to train (ex: Follow Me). The droid will respond with a "?", meaning it is now listening for the command you want it to learn. /say the command you want it to respond to from this point forward (ex: /say follow). Repeat this process for all the commands you want to train.

Q: How do I name my droid?
Follow the steps from the previous question, but pre-fix each command with the name you want the droid to learn. After training 4 different commands, the droid will "learn" his name and rename himself.
Note: "Converse" style droids currently are not re-nameable. This is on Gorantoth's bug list.

Q: Renaming isn't working, what's wrong?
You are probably trying to use a name that doesn't pass the name filter. Droids use the same naming filter that players do, so at this point you can't use spaces or numbers in the names. (I used "Artoo" rather than "R2")

*Q: How many modules can each droid hold? Armor Modules? Personality Chip?
GM = General Module(s)
AM = Armor Module(s)
PC = Personality Chip
MSE Droid 1 GM, 0 AM, 0 PCMSE Droid, Advanced Model 2 GM, 1 AM, 1 PCDZ70 Droid 1 GM, 0 AM, 0 PCDZ70 Droid, Advanced Model 2 GM, 1 AM, 1 PCProbot 0 GM, 1 AM, 0 PCProbot, Advanced Model 2 GM, 2 AM, 0 PCR2 Droid 3 GM, 1 AM, 0 PCR2 Droid, Advanced Model 5 GM, 2 AM, 0 PCR3 Droid 3 GM, 1 AM, 0 PCR3 Droid, Advanced Model 6 GM, 2 AM, 0 PCR4 Droid 1 GM, 0 AM, 0 PCR4 Droid, Advanced Model 3 GM, 2 AM, 0 PCR5 Droid 1 GM, 0 AM, 0 PCR5 Droid, Advanced Model 2 GM, 1 AM, 0 PCSurgical Droid 2 GM, 0 AM, 1 PCSurgical Droid, Advanced Model 3 GM, 1 AM, 1 PCLE Repair Droid 2 GM, 1 AM, 1 PCLE Repair Droid, Advanced Model 3 GM, 1 AM, 1 PCProtocol Droid 0 GM, 0 AM, 1 PCProtocol Droid, Advanced Model 2 GM, 1 AM, 1 PCBinary Load Lifter Droid 0 GM, 1 AM, 0 PCBinary Load Lifter Droid, Advanced Model 0 GM, 3 AM, 1 PCTreadwell Droid 1 GM, 0 AM, 0 PCWED Treadwell, Advanced Model 2 GM, 1 AM, 1 PCPower Droid 1 GM, 0 AM, 0 PCPower Droid, Advanced Model 1 GM, 1 AM, 1 PC

Q: What are all the droid modules and what do they do?
Crafting Station Modules
All Droid Crafting Station Modules serve as PRIVATE crafting stations. This means that they allow the most complex items to be built in their vicinity. (Check the item complexity on your schematics)
Food/Chemical Crafting Droid Module
Structure Crafting Droid Module
Weapon/Droid/General Crafting Droid Module
Clothing/Armor Crafting Droid Module

Medical Modules
All medical modules will allow you to use woundpacks without the need for a camp or hospital. They also affect the usefulness of the wound/stimpacks used in their vicinity. The Medical Capability Rating (MCR) of the droid is a direct percentage of the item's effectiveness. (Thus a Level 6 would actually BOOST the effectiveness)
Level 1: MCR 55
Level 2: MCR 65
Level 3: MCR 75
Level 4: MCR 85
Level 5: MCR 100
Level 6: MCR 110

Item Storage Modules
Item storage modules allow you to store items in the droid, essentially allowing you to store more items than you normally could. Use the "Access Droid's Inventory" option from the droid's radial menu to store/retreive items.
Level 1: Max Storage: 1
Level 2: Max Storage: 2
Level 3: Max Storage: 4
Level 4: Max Storage: 6
Level 5: Max Storage: 9
Level 6: Max Storage: 10

Data Storage Modules
Data storage modules allow you to store extra crafting schematics, essentially allowing you to store more schematics than you normally could. Use the "Access Droid's Datapad" option from the droid's radial menu to store/retreive items.
Level 1: Max Data: ?
Level 2: Max Data: ?
Level 3: Max Data: ?
Level 4: Max Data: 110
Level 5: Max Data: 125
Level 6: Max Data: 150

Armor Modules
Armor modules determine the armor rating and resistances of the droid. Armor Modules do not count as general modules -- a droid can only use an armor module if it's schematic calls for one.
Level 1: Light Armor, 12% Resists
Level 2: Light Armor, 24% Resists
Level 3: Light Armor, 40% Resists
Level 4: Medium Armor, 12% Resists
Level 5: Medium Armor, 24% Resists
Level 6: Medium Armor, 40% Resists

Droid Repair Module
This module allows your droid to repair the health and action wounds (Black Bar) of another droid. Train your droid the "Repair Other Droid" command to utilize this feature. (Note: There is currently no way to "program" the "repair other droid" command on the "converse" style droids.)

Bounty Hunter Droids:

Q: What is different about BH droids than regular droids?
BH Droids are consumables. This means over time they get "used up" and the BH will need to purchase more of them. These droids are used to raise BH Investigation skills. As of the 09/04/03 patch, BH droids have "charges" so they may be used a fixed number of times before they disappear.

Arakyd Probe Droid: BH Uses these to locate which planet their mark is on.
Seeker Droid: BH Uses these to lead them to their mark once on the correct planet.

Grinding:

Q: What is the best item to grind to reach Novice DE?
The generally accepted "best grind items" are: Bone armor chestplates, Travel Packs

Q: What is the best item to grind after I reach Novice DE?
You will have to grind mouse droids. There is no real way around it because there are no other options at Novice DE.
Your first skill box pick should be blueprints 1. This will allow you to make Seeker Droids for BHs, to start your cash inflow.
From this point, you should make mouse droids and seekers until you get the experience needed for Blueprints 2. BP2 has the item you will be grinding until you reach Master DE, the advanced droid frame unit.

Q: Should I grind up to Master Artisan?
This really depends on your playstyle. About 75% of the droids you will be making later in your DE career will require items from the Master Artisan skill box. An example: The Probot requires a micro sensor suite (MA), which requires both a control unit (MA), and an electonics GP module (MA).

Phew, that took me a while :x
