I am having awful problems with my PC atm.

I think one of the HDD is about to fail on teh RAID array, can anyone recommend a utility for testing HDD?

Have you turned on SMART monitoring in the BIOS?
HdTach I used a few years ago but not sure if it's any good for testing.

Managed to get my stuff backed up to a USB drive and tried to rebuild the machine.

Found that the NTFS.sys file is corrupt and I was unable to rebuild without getting BSOD.

Heat isn't a problem in my machine and there are no new components.

I think that there may have been a problem during a write procedure, so I've split the RAID array to wipe the HDD's and I am trying to rebuild with it in mirroring mode to see what happens.

Might be new HDD territory though.
